Afghani #1
Sensi Seeds
- VARIETY – Indica
- GENETICS – Afghani
- FLOWERING TIME – 7 weeks
- HARVEST – late September
Afghani #1 was bred by crossing a range of Afghani cultivars to produce a short, fast-flowering, heavy-yielding plant with copious amounts of resin covering all parts of the plant. It is 95% indica and a hash plant par excellence.
Afghani #1 stretches only a moderate amount once flowering has been initiated which makes it a great choice for indoor gardens. It will also flourish outdoors in warm, sunny climates. Its leaves are typically indica – very wide and dark green in colour. Its single cola structure makes it ideal for SoG grow set-ups especially if the small, lower branches are removed, a technique known as “lollipopping”. Flowering indoors takes between 45 – 55 days and outdoor-grown plants in the northern hemisphere will be ready to harvest in late September or early October at the latest.
The autoflowering qualities bred into Afghani #1 Automatic will cause plants to begin flowering after only 5 to 7 weeks of vegetative growth. Once the flowering phase is triggered, this high-yielding indica heavyweight finishes quickly, filling its frame with tight knots of bud. Those buds will reach full sized maturity with another 7 to 9 weeks of flowering, which makes it possible to cultivate this strain from seedling to harvest in as little as 12 weeks!
Plants grown from Afghani #1 Automatic seeds usually give their best yield with a single main stem and unpruned branches. Due to the nature of autoflowering cannabis seeds, Afghani #1 Automatic plants should not be ‘topped’, as this will usually not increase their branching and budding sites. Even indoors, with controlled photoperiods, autoflowering cannabis can’t be given extra time in vegetative growth in order to recover after pruning.
